About
Fanni Varga founded byVarga in August 2016. She wanted to create something truly unique and eye-catching that would be a forever piece in someone's wardrobe.
“I wanted to create products that are versatile. Our pieces are designed to be refined and seasonless to silence the demand for fashion”
Also on the forefront of By Varga’s mind is sustainability and in particular over producing. The brand has built a supply chain that allows the business to operate as made to order basis.
byVarga aims to use certified natural, deadstock or recycled quality materials such as silks, wool and leather to create sharp tailoring, deconstructed classic shapes and effortless draping. byVarga believes in quality over quantity. Intricate detailing and handmade techniques give a subtle glimpse into the playfully mysterious byVarga woman.
Within a year of launching, the brand was published in high fashion magazines such as The Evening Standard, Vogue UK, Vogue Italy, Highsnobiety, to name a few.
byVarga was selected to be among the top 5 designers for the Designer for Tomorrow’s competition in 2017, curated by Stella McCartney. byVarga was also featured in the Evening Standard’s article series Progress 1000, discussing the success of their mentorship program with mentor Anita Barr, Group Fashion Buying Director of Harvey Nichols.
